Slow Mileswalking notes

About

Who's writing, and why it's so sporadic.

I'm Daniel. I live in a flat that's too small for the amount of maps I own. During the week I do an ordinary desk job that has nothing to do with any of this; on weekends, when the weather and my knees allow, I walk.

I'm not fast and I'm not hardcore. I like footpaths that used to be something else — drovers' roads, disused railways, the sunken lanes between old fields. I carry too much water and not enough snacks, every single time.

This site is just a notebook I happened to put on the internet. I don't sell anything, I don't take requests, and I update it whenever I actually get around to it — which, as the dates will tell you, isn't often.

"The best walks are the ones you almost didn't bother getting up for."
